About Irrigation Support

I help homeowners design, install, and fix their irrigation systems. No fluff, just practical advice from someone who has done it all wrong first.

Who Is Behind This Site?

I am Alex. I have been installing and repairing irrigation systems for 12 years. I started as a homeowner who made every mistake you can make: wrong pipe size, burned-out pumps, water hammer that burst a pipe at 2 AM, and a DIY drip system that turned my backyard into a swamp.

After fixing my own disasters and helping neighbors with theirs, I realized most irrigation advice online falls into two categories: oversimplified blog posts that skip the hard parts, or technical manuals written for licensed contractors. There is nothing for the guy in the middle — the homeowner who wants to do it right but does not have a degree in hydraulics.

That is why I built this site. Every guide here comes from real experience — systems I installed, parts I broke, and fixes that actually worked. I do not recommend products I have not tested. I do not write theory I have not verified in the field.

Quick Stats

  • 12 years in the field
  • 200+ systems installed
  • Countless repairs (and mistakes)
  • 3 properties running my designs
  • 30+ guides on this site

What You Will Find Here

Honest guides. I explain what worked, what did not, and what I would do differently. Every article includes specific prices, brands, and measurements — no vague recommendations.

Real data. I measure water pressure, flow rates, and costs on real systems. When I say a 1-inch PVC pipe drops 8 PSI over 100 feet at 15 GPM, that is from testing, not theory.

No affiliate bias. I recommend products based on performance, not commission. If a $29 Orbit kit is the right choice, I say so. If you need a $620 Grundfos pump, I explain why.
